6 sl Bacon, cut in julienne strips
1 md Cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
3/4 c Water
6 Scallions, washed & sliced, including tops
1 ts Salt
1/8 ts Pepper
Brown the bacon in a large heavy skillet. Add scallions and saute until golden brown. 2. Place cabbage wedges in the skillet; add water, salt and pepper; cover, and simmer for 35 minutes, turning occasionally with a fork. Makes 6 servings.
